Flower Farm

Flower Farm is a 150 acre traditional family run mixed farm with cattle, turkeys, chickens, sheep, pigs, fruit and vegetables. Growing a wide range of pick your own crops including asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, plums and pumpkins.

The award winning Flower Farm shop has a butchery and deli and an online shop with delivery and collection within 48 hours. Every Friday and Saturday, fishmonger Stefan sells fresh fish from his stall outside the farm shop, along with freshly made bouquets of flowers from The Little Flower Girl. At Christmas you can order Flower Farm’s Supreme Wirrall turkeys which are reared and raised on the farm.

There is also a tea room that sells coffee, tea, cakes and sandwiches and a taproom – with The Godstone Brewers’ beer brewed and served on site, every Friday evening from 5-8pm.

From April to September Flower Farm is home to the biggest pub garden in Surrey – the Strawberry Fields Pub Garden, with live music and comedy every Saturday over the summer, along with mini golf, pitch and putt, a Maize Maze and other games to entertain the children.

As a performance and events venue, Flower Farm is home to Godstoneberry – a generation spanning live music festival, Oktoberryfest – the biggest Bavarian beer hall event outside of London, Jingleberry – Christmas party nights and more!

About us

Farmer Patrick always says “farming is not just a job, it’s a way of life.” Flower Farm has been his family home since 1974, when his father Peter bought the farm, Peter was the son of a farmer and worked for many years for the National Farmer’s Union.

Shortly after moving to Flower Farm with his wife June and his four sons (Patrick being the second eldest of four), Flower Farm became one of the first farms in the UK to establish pick your own crops. It was always Peter’s dream to open a farm shop, and make Flower Farm a destination of choice.

Working alongside his father, Farmer Patrick – then himself a young father of two – worked tirelessly to make this vision come true, finally opening their farm shop at the age of 30, but sadly however, that same day his father Peter passed away.

Responsible for the farm’s future, Farmer Patrick continued to honour his father’s legacy, diversifying and evolving the farm to what it is today, whilst still remaining very much a working farm.

Flower Farm has come a long way since 1974 and over the years has welcomed thousands of visitors to the farm, enjoying everything that there is to offer – from PYO crops to the farm shop, from the tea room to the bar, pub garden, festivals and events.

Farmer Patrick and the farm team work very closely with local charities, sponsor local football teams, donate to community causes and work very closely with the community around them to give back wherever they can.

Farmer Patrick says “we love being at the heart of the community, and we love giving back to our community too – creating a space for everyone to make memories that they’ll cherish for many years to come – that’s what makes what we do so totally worth it.”

Love for the Surrey Hills

It is wonderful to be part of the Surrey Hills – its beauty, its serene landscape, a place that is so green it’s like something out of a picture postcard.

We feel it’s our duty as a local food supplier and land owners to maintain our land as a working farm, farming the crops as they were intended to be, to maintain and keep those views that surround us and our neighbours. This is why we are always keen to reduce our carbon footprint and sell only farm reared or locally sourced produce in our farm shop, working with suppliers in Godstone, and other areas of the Surrey Hills, Sussex and Kent.

Flower Farm works very closely with local community groups, putting out whatever it gets in. Sponsoring two local football teams (Oxted FC and Whyteleafe Women’s FC), we encourage young people to get active and get involved in sports. As a sponsor for local charities, we donate regularly to the Orpheus Centre and work closely with them to provide opportunities for their students to work at our events, as well as providing a space for them to hold and host their own events wherever possible. We support Surrey Young Farmers and regularly provide farm tours to small groups, educating young people about farming and what life is like working on the farm.

We recently donated £1,000 to Godstone Scouts to help with repairs on their Scouts Hut, which is also used by the wider community for fitness classes, meetings and children’s parties and, in September 2021, we hosted a three day festival, donating our entire pub garden, staff, time and services to Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust staff for the Big SASH Thank You – to say thanks for all their hard work over the previous 18 months. We also regularly donate to schools and community groups for raffles, offering free hampers and vouchers for any fetes and fundraising events that they may hold.

Farmers are custodians of the landscape and the environment and we are always working to offer our services (time and equipment) to help with any hedge trimming, maintenance or wildlife preservation. In our farm shop we use wooden spoons and forks and try and keep everything recyclable where possible and encourage people to use keep cups in our tea room too.
