Join us in a moment of reflection as we commemorate the lives of nine USAAF crew who died when their B17 plane crashed on Reigate Hill on 19 March 1945, and the loss of all other air crew who died in the Surrey Hills during the Second World War. The event will include readings from military veterans and wreath laying. This event is in the open air – please dress for warmth and wear stout shoes. Standing only. There is a walk of c15 minutes from each car park to the memorial glade. A torch may be useful.
