A short workshop designed as an introduction to the ancient Chinese art of Qigong – which means ‘energy cultivation’
This short workshop is designed as an introduction to the ancient Chinese art of Qigong – which means ‘energy cultivation’. Scientifically proven to reduce stress, boost immunity and enhance wellbeing, Qigong helps to balance, harmonise and energise the body and mind. This very gentle practice combines breathwork, visualisation and flowing movements and is suitable for everyone.
This workshop will teach you the basic principles of Qigong and introduce you to some of the key movements. It’s designed as a taster session for the upcoming 6 week ‘Flow into Autumn’ course on Qigong’s classic sequence ‘The 8 brocades or Baduanjin’ and you will leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and invigorated.
Weather permitting, the workshop will run outside in the beautiful gardens or inside if it rains. Please wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes so that you can lift and move your arms, also wear suitable footwear and bring something warm in case it’s a little chilly.
