- Alli Brydon is a children’s book author and lifelong New Yorker who moved to the south of England with her family in 2018. She really likes to draw, and dreams about illustrating children’s books one day. Her favorite place is the beach, but the hills speak her language. Alli has the sense of humor of a 7-year-old. And she will never ever kill a spider. Bright Winters Night is a winters tale that works well for dusky afternoon story hours in December or a bedtime story.
- Local author and storyteller Steve Markwell said he wants people to “discover the magic of the Surrey Hills, breathe deeply, and find your inner Superhero”, His stories feature amazing characters of legend like the Green Man, goddesses from history like Vesta and animals with magical powers like Surrey Puma Cats, and Grace the Dragon.
- Marielle Bayliss – Frog’s Bog is aimed at ages 3-5 years and is the first in a series that was inspired by local Surrey waterways, including The Hogsmill (a chalk stream tributary of The Thames) and Berrylands Nature Reserve in Surbiton. The book is beautifully illustrated by Mariela Malova, featuring local wildlife and the waterways they inhabit.
