A weekend festival celebrating the very best of Surrey’s food, drink, art and crafts at the stunning Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking.

The Surrey Hills Artisan Festival at Denbies wine estate is a wonderful outdoor event that promises to be a real delight for all the senses. The Festival has been created to showcase over 80 exceptional Artisans from across Surrey, who will share their knowledge, skills and crafts.

Come along to this great family day out and find out more about some of the many local artists, craftsmen and food and drink producers in Surrey.

Join us for the whole day as there is something for everyone!

More than 80 Surrey Hills Artisans

The event is bringing together an incredible range of artists and artisans from across Surrey.

Food and Drink Demo Tent

 

We will have a marquee dedicated to talks and demos from Artisans with a program of interesting and unusual presentations including:-

  • Artisan Cooking Demonstration with Surrey’s own Michelin star Chef Steve Drake from Sorrel in Dorking
  • Seasonal cooking demo of trout and lamb with Abinger Cookery School
  • Simple Steps for the Perfect Morning Brew – Chimney Fire Coffee:
  • Ginologist – botanicals and Gin making by Village Spirit Collective
  • The history of honey and how best to taste it with Guildford bee Keepers
  • Learn the secret of the best gin cocktails from the mixologists at Wessex Gin
  • The best of Surrey’s wines with the Vineyards of the Surrey Hills 
  • Explore the tastes of the Filipines with Roni B’s Kitchen
  • Learn the art of sustainable foraging with Hinoki Forest bathing

There will be a wide range of free activities and demonstrations led by artisans in the following areas (see below for more details):-

Plus you can watch different landscape artists capture the beauty of Denbies vineyard in front of your very eyes.

The central arena will feature a wide range of musicians and entertainers.

Between the activities and demos, enjoy our wide variety of food and drink from the Surrey Hills, so treat yourself to a wood-fired pizza, a Thai curry, a delicious homemade pastry, a glass of wine from the Surrey Hills or a Silent Pool gin and tonic!

Surrey Artists Open Studios

Surrey Artists’ Open Studios are celebrating their 20th year offering artists and other local businesses opportunities to promote themselves and their work to members of the public.

Open Studios takes place each Summer as an opportunity for the public to visit studios, meet artists and makers, view demonstrations, buy artwork, enter our free prize draw, view taster exhibitions and take part in creative workshops. Studio locations are throughout Surrey and around its borders.

Denbies Wine Estate

The Denbies Estate, based in Dorking, Surrey, has been family owned and run since 1984. Denbies vineyard was planted in 1986, and since then has become one of the largest wine producers in the UK. Denbies’ core business is agriculture and they are pleased to be able to offer visitors an insight into wine production in the UK. Denbies wine now competes on an international level, including multiple gold awards for sparkling wine production, the first ever gold for an English rose wine and an international gold for Denbies Noble Harvest Dessert wine.

Surrey Hills Artisan Festival – Booking

£12.50 on the gate

PAYMENT: We use Paypal as our payment system, however, if you DO NOT have a paypal account you can still pay by debit / credit card when you click through to paypal.

When you submit your booking, the Paypal page comes up. Then under the blue box which says ‘Next’ there is an option to pay by credit or Debit card. If you click on this it will take you through the payment process.

TICKETS:  An automatic email confirmation of your booking will be forwarded within a few minutes of making your booking. Please print and bring a copy with you.

The perfect opportunity to browse amazing hand-made crafts, sample and takeaway locally sourced food and a wide range of drinks including wine, gin and non alcoholic beverages.
