Keartland and Co Limited

Working with bold purpose-led businesses as their outsourced Chief Impact Officer, I help them to make sustainability their competitive advantage.

OUR STORY

Keartland

We’re entering a new era where sustainability should be central to your business strategy rather than seen as a box-ticking exercise. Sustainability can be a source of inspiration that can help you develop new revenue streams and attract and retain great people.

Through bespoke consultancy, I help business leaders build a sustainable business by showing where to start and what steps to take. Using my proven five-step approach, I help them to create and deliver their sustainability roadmap. This helps businesses move from talk to action to impact.

I have 20+ years experience at director and board level in innovation, project delivery and finance and know how to run a financially successful business; and how to deliver transformation & change.

Having trained at Deloitte, I have since spent most of my career working in sustainability and social impact, within charities and for-purpose businesses. I know how to embed impact into operating and business models – delivering non-financial value is second-nature.

My Story

I have a strong personal drive to leave the world in a better place. And having a positive impact on people’s lives has driven decisions throughout my career.

KeartlandMy 25 year journey through both corporate and charity sectors has developed my belief that business can be a force for good. I’m fascinated by the changing way that social and environmental impact is delivered as we move from a society where ‘charity’ and ‘corporate’ were historically quite distinct to one where positive impact is becoming a core part of doing business.

Businesses of all sizes can and must play a vital role in tackling the social and environmental challenges we face. Business is financially sustainable, highly scalable and can work across international boundaries – there’s huge power in that!

And businesses are more successful when they are more conscious of their impact on people and the planet, integrating impact into what they do and how they do it.

That strong vision for change, coupled with my background in impact, innovation, transformation and change saw me set up Keartland & Co. So many business leaders want to build a sustainable and responsible business. But it can be hard to know where to start, what steps to take and what to prioritise. Every business is different and the sustainability space is changing constantly. I love helping businesses navigate this complexity, create a clear and engaging action plan and, most importantly, deliver positive impact.

Love of the Surrey Hills

I love the Surrey Hills and it’s been a constant playground for my family and me. From meeting my husband cycling in the hills, to spending many hours running the trails that criss-cross it, to spending time with our two sons climbing trees and exploring. Before all of that, my Granny lived in Peaslake for 60 years and so I spent many hours visiting and staying with her long before I moved here myself.

As a business, I want to support other local businesses to become more sustainable. I volunteer for Enterprise M3, supporting the careers lead at my local secondary school. I chair the Institute of Chartered Accountants Surrey business network. And I’m a loyal supporter of Woking & Sam Beare Hospice which does such vital work in our local community.
