Surrey Hills Mentoring programme
A mentoring programme has been established to enable Members to benefit from the experience and knowledge of a Volunteer Mentor. The Mentors are from a variety of backgrounds and offer one or more of a range of skills including strategy, leadership, business and financial planning, sales, marketing and branding and other areas of expertise.
Key points
- Focus: A goal orientated programme – the Mentor and Mentee set a specific goal/s at the first session and focus on this for the Mentoring Period
- Timescale: A number of 1:1 meetings between Mentor and Mentee, meeting 1-2 times a month over a 4-6 month period. The support can continue beyond this period if both feel this would benefit the Mentee
- Cost: Mentors are offering their time as a gift so there is no cost to Mentees other than travel to meetings or via on-line meetings
- Mentors and Mentees Questionnaires: Mentors and Mentees complete a questionnaire and are only viewed a Member of Staff and the Mentee questionnaire by the Mentor.
