Bracken Bruiser Albury Estate
The estate applied for an 80% grant (£3,336.00) to purchase a bracken bruiser to be used to reduce the extent of the bracken on Farley Heath. The reduction in the bracken population will allow for other flora and fauna to flourish and establish, therefore improving the biodiversity of the heath. The bracken bruiser will also enable the estate to take an nonchemical approach in the management of this invasive species.
