Grazing Between The Vines A & N Bullen
Nick Bullen applied for £1,359.21 to purchase grazing infrastructure to allow him, in collaboration with Denbies Wine Estate, to graze between the vines after harvest.
The benefits of grazing sheep between the vines are:
- Natural weed control
- Fertilisation
- Aerating soil
- Reducing vineyard’s carbon footprint
The project also included the purchase of signs to ensure the public keep their dogs on leads around the livestock and to make them aware of where the sheep are grazing.
