Spring Foraging Walk: Gathering the Wild in May
16 May 2026 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
On this guided foraging walk, we’ll slow down and attune our senses as we learn to identify seasonal culinary and medicinal plants.
Step closer to nature and into the generosity of spring by learning to forage mindfully, ethically, and with reverence for both your kitchen and personal apothecary. May is a time of vibrant growth, when the land offers her gifts freely, tender greens, aromatic leaves, and healing plants at their peak vitality.
On this guided foraging walk, we’ll slow down and attune our senses as we learn to identify seasonal culinary and medicinal plants, exploring how to harvest with care and reciprocity. Along the way, we’ll deepen our understanding of each plant’s nutritional value, traditional uses, and medicinal qualities. After the walk, you’ll receive a follow-up resource with photos and explanations to support continued learning and confidence.
Our journey concludes with a taste of the wild: shared food prepared with foraged ingredients, alongside warming herbal teas and tonics gathered from the land. Together, we’ll also craft a simple herbal remedy using foraged plants, and you’ll take home a sample of homemade herbal medicine as a tangible reminder of your time in connection with the earth.
And if the season smiles upon us, we may even encounter the unmistakable scent and magic of Wild Garlic, a beloved spring ally and true forest treasure.
Come wander, learn, taste a bit of the wild.
