Explore Farnham Heath’s stunning Nature reserve, visit Bourne Woods film locations and enjoy a refreshment at farm-based Craft Brewery.
We’ll begin our 3-hour circular walk from the peaceful Surrey cricket green in Tilford, crossing one of the best-preserved packhorse bridges in Britain before heading towards the heathland.
At Farnham Heath, we’ll experience the remarkable transformation led by the RSPB since 2002, where former conifer plantations have been restored into open heathland with sweeping views across the Weald. This thriving landscape is now home to a rich variety of wildlife — keep your eyes peeled for roe deer, crossbills, nightjars, woodcocks, and tree pipits.
We’ll also wander through nearby Bourne Woods, a popular filming location known for its atmospheric forest scenes, before pausing at Pierrepont Farm to visit the unique craft brewery and taproom, with Sheppard’s food hut offering well-earned refreshments.
A varied and scenic walk blending heathland, woodland, wildlife, and local flavour — the perfect countryside escape.
