An end-of-October Samhain experience with Forest Bathing with Lisa and Sound Bath with Michelle

Step into the final days of October, when the forest is deep in its autumn transformation and the year begins its slow turning inward. The leaves are falling, the light is thinning, and the woodland invites us to pause at the threshold between what has been and what is yet to come.

A gentle journey for the senses, the nervous system, and the soul — combining forest bathing, sound healing, and a seasonal wild tea ceremony.

What to expect
A guided forest bathing walk with sensory invitations, led by Lisa
A deeply relaxing sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls, led by Michelle of @alchemyinharmony
A seasonal wild tea ceremony to close
A take-home gift of the same bespoke herbal blend shared during the ceremony
A gentle woodland walk of no more than ½ mile
No previous experience of forest bathing or sound healing is needed
The experience

By the end of October, the woodland has entered a different rhythm. The canopy has thinned, leaves gather beneath our feet, and the forest floor carries the rich, damp scent of decay and return. The light is softer and lower, the air cooler, and there is a noticeable invitation to slow down.

This is the season of Samhain, traditionally marking the threshold between the lighter and darker halves of the year. A time associated with endings, remembrance, release, and the quiet space between one cycle and the next.

Our journey begins with Lisa, who will guide us slowly and intentionally through the woodland with gentle forest bathing invitations. There is nowhere we need to get to and nothing we need to achieve. Instead, we allow our senses to lead: noticing the changing light, the texture of bark beneath our hands, the scent of damp earth, the sound of leaves moving in the canopy, and the small details that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

As we walk, we are invited to consider the natural process unfolding around us. Trees let go without resistance. What has finished its season falls to the earth, where it becomes nourishment for what comes next. The forest doesn’t cling to what is leaving; it simply makes space.

Perhaps we can do the same.

After our forest bathing journey, we settle into the woodland for a sound bath with Michelle of @alchemyinharmony. Surrounded by trees in their autumn transformation, we will be held by the resonant tones of Tibetan singing bowls and intuitive sound.

The sounds of the bowls mingle with the natural soundscape around us — rustling leaves, birdsong, wind through the branches — creating a space to rest, listen, and soften. There is nothing to do but receive.

Together, forest and sound offer different pathways into presence: the grounding stillness of the woodland and the vibration of sound. A chance to settle the body, quiet the mind, and create space for whatever wants to be released.

At this seasonal threshold, we might gently ask ourselves:

What am I ready to let go of?
What no longer needs to be carried into the next season?
What would I like to make space for?

There is no need to force an answer. This is not a time for striving or fixing. Simply noticing can be enough.

We will close our journey with a seasonal wild tea ceremony, gathering together to sip a bespoke herbal blend created especially for this experience. A moment to come back into the body, share the quiet of the morning, and allow everything we’ve experienced to settle.

Each guest will receive a packet of the same herbal blend to take home — a small continuation of the experience and an invitation to recreate a little of this moment for yourself.

As we sit together at the end, we remember that the forest is not separate from us. The cycles of letting go, resting, returning, and beginning again are also part of us.

Come as you are.
Walk slowly.
Listen deeply.
Let the forest hold you.
Leave with a little more space inside.

The invitation continues long after you leave the trees.
