Access Reviews

The Surrey Hills National Landscape is delighted to have been working in partnership with the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People throughout the last few months to carry out Access Reviews of a number of ‘gateway sites’ across the area.  The input from the members who came along to the visits, sometimes on very cold days in the winter, has been crucial to delivering the Access Fund at these sites.  Through the process of co-design, a wide range of projects were put forward and many were implemented. We look forward to continuing this partnership with future projects.

Update for 2025:

Throughout the summer and autumn, the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People assisted the Surrey Hills National Landscape in identifying sites, projects and specific improvements that might be eligible for Access for All funding.

Thanks to the Coalition’s input, improvements have been identified and funded at a number of sites in financial year 24/25 including Pierrepont Farm, Leith Hill Place, Denbies Vineyard and Frensham Great Pond.

Their expertise has helped with other projects funded through the Access for All fund. Additionally the Coalition working with the Surrey Hills National Landscape have identified improvements for other sites including Reigate Hill, which we hope to fund and support should further funding be made available.
