Loop

This magnificent heathland trail starts in woodland and then brings you out onto the open heather of Frensham Common, with no roadwork! The route runs right alongside Frensham Great Pond for a kilometre before heading up to the King’s Ridge which provides wonderful views of both the Great and Little Ponds. It’s a good half way picnic spot with a conveniently placed bench from which to enjoy the panorama.
This trail does require you to cross a ford paved with large stone setts, with an optional bridge to the side. It is worth your patience to negotiate the water or bridge as this ride is a gem with excellent sandy going and spectacular countryside.
