We work hard to bring our customers great tasting coffee that supports ethical and eco-friendly practices, all the way from farm to cup.

We know exactly where our coffee comes from, use sustainable packaging materials, and provide a range of coffees to suit different tastes, alongside regular coffee support, training and education.

Ethically Sourced Speciality Coffee

All of our single origin coffees are 100% traceable.

We work directly with farmers, cooperatives, and exporters, making regular farm visits and committing to buying each new crop up front. We only source speciality grade coffee, and pay at least 35% over FairTrade prices. All our coffees have a minimum SCAA quality score of 83, and consistency in roasting is maintained through quality control software.

Sustainable Packaging & Transparent Labelling

All our coffee bags are made of 100% certified compostable materials, conforming to UK/EU standard BS EN 13432.

Both our coffee delivery boxes and the coffee information card that sits in the front of each bag are 100% recyclable, and are made in the UK. All of our bags display the compostable seedling logo and information on correct disposal.

Social Impact – Our Re-Cycle Charity Partnership

We donate at least 25p from every bag of our Discovery Coffee sales to Re-Cycle, a small charity who refurbish bikes from the UK and send them to rural communities in Africa.

Re-Cycle has helped increase school attendance by 30% in the communities it supports. It has donated over 112,000 bikes, with 98% still operational after three years. We have raised over £4000 for the charity to date, enabling Re-Cycle to refurbish 140 bikes from the UK and distribute them to where they are most needed – for every 28 kilos of coffee roasted, a single bike plus spare parts will be sent to Africa.

B Corp Certification 

In August 2022 we became a Certified B CorporationTM, an international commendation of social and environmental performance. The B CorpTM Community is a nonprofit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet, using business as a force for good.
