Established in 1986,Denbies Wine Estate is one of the largest single vineyard wine producers in the UK, with 265 acres of vines planted in the Surrey Hills near Dorking. In a good vintage it can produce over 500,000 bottles of wine including red, white, rose and sparkling.
For the last 25 years, Christopher White, CEO, has owned and operated the estate. Under his leadership, Denbies has become one of the largest and most successful wineries in England.
In April 2024 Denbies Vineyard and Winery certified UKCCC Net Zero. In July 2024, the Denbies Estate achieved B Corp status.
Denbies Vineyard Hotel, with far reaching views over the acres of vineyard and North Downs, is ideally placed to explore the Surrey Hills National Landscape, including close proximity to main line train stations and excellent walking and extensive cycling trails. The hotel offers seasonal breaks and guests can benefit from the Surrey Hills Physiotherapy Health and Well being Centre, located adjacent to the hotel in The Barn, and bike hire from ‘Just Pedal’ who are based within the vineyard grounds.
Weddings are a special feature of the vineyard with the most beautiful backdrop setting for your memorable day.
Denbies is also a fantastic destination for all corporate gatherings, teambuilding and private event hire with our bespoke packages.
Denbies Visitor Centre is open 362 days a year, offering visitors a chance to step into one of England’s largest and most innovative wineries. It offers a unique programme of vineyard tours, winery visits and tastings. Some are in tune with the vineyard’s seasons, such as the Secret Vineyard Trails, which take visitors to areas of the vineyard not usually accessed by the general public. Indoor tours provide a fascinating insight into the workings of an English vineyard. The outdoor vineyard train takes visitors through the vineyards to enjoy superb views over Box Hill.

The Gallery Restaurant is located on the third floor of the winery building and has panoramic views of the estate, and our Wine Library Brasserie & Bar is located in the Vineyard Hotel in the heart of the vineyard with sweeping views across the vines.
Our Conservatory Restaurant is open for light lunches daily, and it located in the main winery building.

The Outdoor Vineyard Train tour
Denbies Vineyard Train Tour takes visitors at a leisurely pace to some of the most beautiful viewing points in the vineyard. A recorded commentary enhances the trip making it an informative and comfortable way to experience the magnificent panoramic views of the Denbies Estate and the Surrey Hills.
Indoor Wine Tasting Experience
Enjoy a glass of Denbies Sparkling wine in the cinema followed by a tasting of four of Denbies award winning wines. Length of tour: Approx 1 hour. Glass of Denbies Sparkling wine or soft drink ‘Indoor Cinema Vineyard Tour’. The tour starts in the cinema featuring ‘The Vineyard Through the Seasons’. Learn about the geology and history of the estate and experience the changes in the vineyard through the seasons and appreciate the wine making process from vine to bottle.
