Wood Sculpting

Ruth has over twenty year’s experience working as a freelance sculptor, most recently in the Surrey Hills. Ruth enjoys working with natural shapes and grains of wood creating unique collections which you can find at local craft fairs, galleries and shops. Ruth also runs workshops to share her love of wood sculpting with you

Ruth has a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art and  Philosophy, is an experienced Artist and Sculptor, creating sculptures and teaching to a variety of community groups in Surrey for 25 years.

You can find her large scale wood sculptures in many Surrey towns, such as Farnham, Godalming, Guildford and works from her studio in Witley and the Birtley Estate in Bramley.

Art Galleries selling her work include the Blue Bramble Gallery in St Ives, Cornwall and Watts Gallery, Compton, Surrey.

Yoga

Ruth also offers weekly yoga classes for both adults and young people plus special workshops and retreats!

Ruth says “Yoga helps me to feel grounded and restored after the manual work of wood sculpting. It helps me to stop for a while to clear my mind, to breathe, keep flexible and find peace in a crazy busy life!”
