Coverwood Lakes is a family run free range beef and lamb farm in the Surrey Hills. Our pedigree Hereford and Ryeland stock is naturally reared and grass fed on fields in the rural village of Ewhurst.
We pride ourselves on the welfare of our cattle and the quality of the grass and hay that we feed them. This ensures that the meat we produce is second to none. The beef is hung for a minimum of five weeks and all meat is professionally butchered locally and vacuum packed for freshness.
We supply beef and lamb for sale in packs, steaks and joints. We can provide our meat to order, so if you need a certain joint in a particular size for a special event we can help! We will also supply wholesale, half/whole carcass or simply braising steak, mince or joints – whatever you need.
We always welcome visitors to come and select the meat and see the quality on offer or alternatively, dependent on location and the order placed, delivery may be available too.
The Lakes & Gardens
Comprising 14 acres of landscaped gardens with 4 interconnected and cascading lakes, Coverwood is the perfect setting for your special day. We have been hosting outdoor weddings for nearly 25 years and are now excited to announce that we have been licenced to hold the legal ceremony within the grounds as well. Specializing in small scale personal events but also able to host up to 150 guests for that larger reception or corporate event, Coverwood is that very special and unique venue in The Surrey Hills.
Having developed our own on farm butchery together with a professional kitchen we ensure your event receives only the best in food and drink be it from the farm or our fellow local producers.
Weddings
Coverwood Lakes and Gardens is a stunning Surrey Hills location for your wedding blessing and/or reception. We only hold a handful of events throughout the summer months, ensuring your day is not just one of many.
Surrey Hills Holiday Cottages
Stay in 5* luxury right within the geographical heart of The Surrey Hills. Holly and Nursery Cottages, former cattleman and gardeners houses, have been comprehensively refurbished to provide beautifully well-appointed self-catering accommodation. Set on the stunning 225 acre Coverwood Farm, the cottages can sleep between 4 and 10 guests if combined as a group booking. Features between the cottages range from log burners and panoramic views to a wood fired hot tub overlooking the cattle whilst they graze.
