Who are we?
HDS works with service-based business owners who are looking to reduce their carbon emissions whilst also providing them with a website that is on brand and attracts the right target market.
Our clients are at the heart of everything we do and are the most important part of our business. We provide a bespoke service for our clients, starting with understanding what they are wanting from a website. We look at what they are trying to achieve, their target market, and we also take a deep dive into their competitors to see what they’re doing, and what our clients like and most importantly don’t like about their websites.
From there, we create a unique website which not only reflects their brand and clearly describes how they help their clients, but it’s built with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in mind. Once the website is ready, we will submit this to Google to help them get found.
HDS offers domain management, hosting and monthly website maintenance as well, so our clients don’t need to stress about security, backups or updates and can sleep easy knowing that it will be taken care of.
We are also on our own net zero path, and are proud of our green hosting which is powered 100% by wind and solar energy.
My Story
I’m Tracy, the founder and web designer at HDS. I am originally from NZ, but have been in the UK since 2000. I come from a background of 20+ years in IT Support & Management, so am a unique combination of being technically very knowledgeable and competent as well as having an eye for design.
I am really proud of the initives we’ve taken at home to help reduce our carbon footprint, which is what fed into the business to see how we could then help clients. Not only do we have solar panels, use LED lights (not that it’s needed often as 50% of my office are windows with lovely natural light coming in), but we are a fully electric vehicle family, reuse and recycle where possible and are proud to shop local and utilise companies like Oddbox too.
Love of the Surrey Hills
As I am from NZ, the Surrey Hills is very much like a slice of home. My husband Neil has lived and worked in Surrey all of his life, so I have him to thank for moving me out of London and to this beautiful part of the country. I love being part of such a great community, filled with amazing people and businesses and are looking forward to building new relationships with Surrey Hills members.
