The hotel has 15 boutique en-suite rooms, along with a separate 2-bed Holiday Cottage. The hotel also features 2 Wellbeing rooms, which are equipped with Spa Baths from Et Lotus. The hotel has a private rear garden and terrace, which is exclusively for hotel guests. There are conference facilities for up to 30 delegates.
The restaurant serves a mix of Italian and English food, along with seasonal specials from all over the world.
Our food is locally sourced, with all our Pasture Fed Beef and Lamb coming from Coverwood Farm in Peaslake, which is situated just 500m up the road. Guests can dine in either the bar or restaurant.
The bar is often bustling with locals, hikers and bike riders, particularly at weekends, with the restaurant offering a quieter and more relaxed affair. The bar serves local craft beers and lagers, along with an extensive wine list from around the world.
We are situated in the heart of the Surrey Hills, which is famous for its great mountain biking trails. There is mountain bike hire available onsite, with both manual and electric bikes available. Mountain bike guided rides and corporate outdoor activities for all abilities are also available.
We also have a function room which can cater for parties and events for up to 100 people. The room can also be split into two rooms for more intimate or private events. We also offer external catering for events. These packages range from pizzas and mobile bar from our converted horsebox, to full wedding catering.
The heart of peaslake
The Hurtwood Inn was built in 1920 and has been gradually extended, having evolved over the past 100 years. Our family took over the business in 2019, with the aim of making the venue much more accessible for a wider range of guests and to offer a larger range of activities, both on site and out in the local AONB.
Over the last few years, we have been revising our menu and supply chain to bring more locally-sourced food onto the menu. All our Pasture Fed Beef and Lamb is now coming from Coverwood Farm in Peaslake, which is situated just 500m up the the road, and all our craft beers and lagers are from local breweries with 15 minutes of Peaslake.
LOVE OF THE SURREY HILLS
As mountain biking is key part of Peaslake and the local community, we have been involved in creating a group of volunteers, which are working with the local landowners to help maintain and improve access across the Surrey Hills. These volunteer events have recently included mountain bike trail repairs and restoring an old pond to prevent flooding in the village.
