Joy Farms - Craft, Woodcarving and Art

Joy Farms is a friendly creative hub inspired by nature. They offer a variety of experiences to individuals, corporates and private groups looking to learn new skills, a new hobby perhaps or just to escape from it all and enjoy the peace and mindfulness of being creative surrounded by nature.

The craft studio can be found on a 18 acre farm in the idyllic West Horsley countryside of the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in between Guildford and Leatherhead.

They offer adults a range of beginner-friendly art and craft experiences (and also cater for more experienced crafters). Their courses include green wood spoon carving, basket weaving, Botanical art printing, woodturning, floristry and more.

Joy Farms craft hub also perfect for bespoke events for private groups including corporates, small businesses, societies, hen or stag dos, groups of friends between 6 and 14 people team. Spend time crafting together, away from the stresses of the world. Joy Farms are happy to tailor an experience that’s just right for your group, just tell us more about your group.

About us

The Joy Family has been working their land and crafting in the tranquil Surrey Hills for nearly a century. Adrian Joy, the third generation of his family to farm, enjoys woodcarving – spoons in particular. Adrian is now married to Sarah, a fellow creative who loves arts and crafts. Together, they offer the opportunity for you to enjoy this special environment and discover new skills and hobbies.

Love of the Surrey Hills

Supporting local businesses, food and produce is at the heart of our very fabric, it’s what we constantly strive towards and promote as much as we can, including partnerships with other Surrey Hills businesses. The farm is nestled at the foot of the Surrey Hills and adjoining Sheepleas nature reserve, we believe the Surrey Hills brand is the most powerful way to promote the very businesses that contribute to making it such a great place.

At our workshops we aim to continue to promote the Surrey Hills and all that it encompasses to our guests to help spread the word that its a great destination for craft courses and much more.
