Based in Walton on Thames, we are a Great Taste Producer with, so far, three of our products awarded Great Taste Stars.
Our products are all based on the family recipes of founder, Roni Bandong. All are natural and free from artificial flavouring, colourings, and preservatives.
Since 2016, founder, Roni Bandong, has been seeking to promote the wonderful flavours of Filipino cuisine, one of Asia’s best-kept secrets. Roni firmly believes that it is time Filipino food became more well known and come out of the shadow of other Asian Cuisines.
Fresh from her appearance on Channel 4’s ‘Kirsty’s Handmade Christmas where she won the competition for best Alternative Christmas Dinner, she started Roni B’s Kitchen from her home in Surrey to showcase these flavours.
Working from her own kitchen, producing six products, she soon added another award in the form of a Great taste Star for her Black Bean Chilli Oil. As word spread and sales grew, the concept outgrew the home kitchen and Roni B’s had to move into commercial production. More products were added and more awards followed including two Great taste stars for her Kalamansi Marmalade.
The brand continues to go from strength to strength and now has nine product lines, all based on the traditional flavours of Roni’s homeland.
For us, the Surrey Hills provides a beautiful backdrop when marketing our products but, more importantly, exposes us to a warm and collaborative network of other artisan producers.
We have met many other ‘startisans’ like ourselves, all of whom have been happy to offer constructive feedback, hints, and tips.
All in all, the Surrey Hills is a wonderful environment to work in.
