The collective gathers local “Ginfluencers®” to assist in the development of our gin by contributing to the flavour profiles – a true Community Spirit.
Our expanding range includes Vann Lane Gin (a contemporary London Dry with citrus & spice botanicals), Haslemere Gin (a lighter Elderflower & Lemon gin), Limited Edition Seasonal Specials (such as Winter Spirit – Christmas in a glass!) and gin liqueurs (such as Raspberry Gin Liqueur and Toffee Apple Gin Liqueur).
All of our Community Spirits and limited-edition seasonal specials are available to buy online through money- and time-saving subscription plans or you can purchase single bottles and gift sets.
We can also white label our gin for wedding favours or produce corporate gifts with your own brand and design.
We offer distillery experiences where you can learn about distillation and create your very own gin! Try 20 different botanicals, rate them and combine your favourites to blend your perfect gin and tonic. You can even purchase a bottle to take home. The distillery tour is great for gifts, special occasions, corporate events or just as a unique experience.
We also have a staffed mobile bar for private and public events either using a converted horse box mobile bar, gazebo or indoor setup. Whether you have a wedding, special celebration, music festival or market, our gin bar serving our premium craft gin and cocktails is sure to keep your guests happy.
The Village Spirit Collective produces unique craft spirits with the local community. We gather together local “Ginfluencers®” in communities to create a drink which reflects the nature of the area – a true Community Spirit. Our subscribers come together and provide feedback on different botanicals which influences the blend for our gin.
We use a vapour infusion process in our micro-distillery which features a bespoke state of the art copper column still. This method of gin production is certainly not the fastest but we believe it results in more subtle and nuanced flavours.
Ian Cox is the owner and distiller and does everything by hand himself, from making the botanical blend and distilling, to labelling the bottles. He left a city job to find a better work-life balance and now walks the dog and grabs a coffee at the local village shop before heading to the distillery.
Love of the Surrey Hills
Our distillery is based in Hambledon, a small village outside of Godalming where very few people know what is on offer. We are based in the Old Coal Yard alongside nine other creative small independent businesses and have created a brand called the Coal Yard Creatives – https://www.coalyardcreatives.com to showcase these businesses and experiences. We are a passionate about supporting each other and keeping these small businesses alive.
At the distillery we encourage recycling of our bottles and will sanitise and reuse any returned. We minimise the amount of waste and have partnered with Love Haslemere Hate Waste who recognised us for our contribution to reducing waste. As well as recycling bottles we also avoid single use plastic for events using reusable or biodegradable glasses, pump unused hot air from the ceramic tiles workshop to heat our unit, and use paper or cardboard packaging.
