Jen’s Nature Hike – 9km Sheepleas and West Horsley Place
8 May 2026 @ 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
Join us for Jen’s Nature Hike- A 9km (5.5mile) loop around magical Sheepleas with coffee stop at the West Horsley Place.
These walks are for Nature lovers, who love to hike but also take a pause to observe nature around us. An invitation to absorb the positive influence nature has on our mental health.
We start at the grounds of West Horsley Place, a Grade I listed medieval manor house and estate of incredible beauty and historical significance, and film set (Ghosts, BBC), a perfect place to start (or end) a hike with coffee and refreshments. Our walk takes us to the Lovelace Bridges and Sheepleas; a blend of ancient and recent woodlands, scrubs and grassland located on the chalk slopes of the North Downs. Sheepleas Nature Reserve is a gem in the Surrey Hills. It is not well known and feels mystical and away from civilisation.
What to expect on Jen’s Nature walks?
Jen (AKA ‘Tree Jen’) is a keen hiker and qualified Lowland Leader with a passion for nature, and has a special interest in woodland trees, plants and wildlife/ birds. With each tree revealing a unique narrative, Jen loves to tell the story of the woodland and how trees connect, communicate and adapt to their environment. Ancient trees are her favourite, with their quirky characteristics and unusual growth patterns.
