28 February 2026 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Step into centuries of history on this gentle 10km circular walk from Farnham Castle.
Step into centuries of history on this gentle circular walk from Farnham Castle, exploring ancient parkland, peaceful woodlands before finishing with a visit to a café in Farnham town.
This relaxed circular walk begins at Farnham Train Station, with a gentle stroll up to the impressive Farnham Castle, a striking landmark overlooking the historic town. We’ll walk around the castle grounds (the castle itself is currently closed), taking in over 900 years of history and views across Farnham.
From here, we head into Farnham Park, once a medieval deer park, where roaming deer and beautiful stands of ancient oak trees create a peaceful and timeless setting. Open avenues, ponds and gentle valleys make this a scenic and calming stretch of the route. We then continue into the surrounding countryside, weaving through Claypit Wood and Pond Wood, with open fields and horses along the way, before looping back towards Farnham town. Toilets and a café are available at the end.
Please bring a light lunch or snacks for the route — or enjoy a café stop afterwards.
