Located deceptively close to the charming market town of Dorking, this walk takes you straight into the countryside to experience a number of bygone ages as you visit an elegant 19th Century Garden with a Temple, a Tower and a Terrace before walking further into the countryside to hear the tragic tale of the Hope Mausoleum before visiting the remains of a medieval castle.

A mix of landscaped gardens, fine woodlands and farmed fields makes for a walk with not only great variety but some fantastic stories.

Your guide will share over a 100 years of amazing history of this interesting location.

Difficulty: easy to moderate
Duration: 4-4.5 approx
Bring: snacks, drink, money for Dorking town at end/start
Facilitiies: Dorking Sports Centre start/finish and Dorking Golf Club en-route
