Surrey Wildlife Trust would like to invite horse owners and equine professionals to join us for a FREE workshop on Friday 17th October 2025, led by Zoë Morgan from ADAS Equine. The workshop will start at 10:30am, with arrival from 10am. We will finish by 2:30pm, and a FREE lunch will be served during the session. Please make us aware of any dietary requirements.
Understanding your pasture is a key step in creating a healthy environment for your horse. Soil health encompasses many aspects such as organic matter, soil structure and drainage, and pH and nutrient levels. By improving the health of your soil, you will create a more resilient, biodiverse pasture that will provide better grazing for your horse.
This workshop will cover:
- What makes a healthy soil (and how this leads to better quality grazing)
- Manure management and composting (managing soil nutrient levels)
- Protecting our waterways – how to mitigate the risk of nutrient pollution
This workshop is being funded and supported by SES Water.
If you have any questions about the event, please contact us on nbs@surreywt.org.uk
