Event Type

Join me on a 5–6 mile circular nature exploration walk, starting in Coldharbour, walking to Leith Hill Tower, then back to Coldharbour, crossing the River Tillingbourne on the north slope of Leith Hill, the second highest point in South East England. During this walk, we will learn about nature, natural navigation, and practice forest bathing. Lisa will point out fungi and trees that can be foraged at this time of year, introduce natural navigation using clues in nature, and guide us in using our senses to connect more deeply with the natural world. We will take one or two rest stops for snacks and tea made with foraged ingredients, incorporating forest bathing mindfulness during these breaks, before finishing back in Coldharbour.

HINOKI GIFT You will go home with a special set of seasonally blended herbal teas.

FORAGING Discover how many medicinal trees surround us and benefit from Lisa’s decade of foraging experience, which is sure to surprise and inspire you.

MAKE FORAGED TEA We will begin the walk by making your own foraged tea, ready to enjoy at our first break.

FOREST BATHING Connect more deeply with nature through sensory awareness and mindfulness, appreciating the beauty and lessons that nature offers. Drawing from Lisa’s Japanese and Hawaiian heritage, where nature is deeply revered, you will experience how its power and harmony can support our wellbeing.

NATURAL NAVIGATION Learn how nature provides subtle yet powerful clues, your natural compass, for orientation and insight into the landscape’s character.

DIFFICULTY This is a moderately flat walk with a steady incline to Leith Hill Tower.
