Deer Processing Equipment Frensham Manor

Deer Processing Equipment Frensham Manor

Mr. Worthington applied for £8,208.24 to purchase a deer larder, high seats, a thermal sight, and squirrel feeder traps.

The growing deer populations across the Surrey Hills have significantly increased browsing pressure on newly planted hedgerows, trees, and crops. Damage caused by deer and squirrels has been identified as a major factor impacting the success of new plantings. Following population monitoring conducted over the past year, it was determined that the number of deer culled on the estate needed to be doubled to support woodland regeneration and ensure long-term ecological success.

The FiPL-funded items have greatly improved the efficiency and effectiveness of deer stalking on the land, helping to address this pressing issue.

Mr Worthington is also collaborating on the Surrey Hills Deer management strategy along with M.S Venison.
