Grazing Infrastructure Surrey Wildlife Trust

Surrey Wildlife Trust applied for £14,156.61 to fund the purchase of No Fence collars and solar pumps, supporting conservation grazing across multiple SSSI sites, including Bagmoor Common and Thundury Meadows. These innovative collars facilitated targeted grazing of scrub areas while preventing cattle from accessing unfenced riverbanks and water supplies. By using the collars alongside solar-powered pumps, the project aimed to reduce bank erosion and minimize water pollution. This initiative enhanced conservation grazing efforts, ensuring the long-term maintenance of these habitats to support biodiversity and wildlife.
