Hedge laying Oxenford Farm

Bart Baker of Oxenford Farm applied for grant funding to lay a mature hedgerow along the Elstead Road. This traditional hedgerow management technique enhances habitat connectivity across the landscape while strengthening the hedge’s structure by encouraging dense growth at the base. 

Located alongside a busy road, the hedge laying will be highly visible to the public. It is hoped that this project will raise awareness and appreciation of this traditional rural skill, helping to promote its continued use and preservation for the future.
