Bealeswood pond restoration Waverley Borough Council
Vicky Keller applied for a grant of £1,672.00 which covered 80% of the costs to restore a pond on Bealeswood Common, by removing the build up of silt, the coppicing of trees and the creation of a small adjacent shallow wet scrape.
This project was advised to take place after a recent botanical report advised that the urgent management of this pond was required to prevent it being lost to ‘territorialisation’. Before and after images can be seen below.
