Chalk Grassland Restoration
The Surrey County Council chalk grassland restoration project is run by the Lower Mole Partnership, they applied for a £7566 grant to clear, restore and maintain the chalkland along with volunteers. To do this they wanted to purchase a grass cutter with multiple attachments that enabled them to clear these precious habitats more efficiently. By clearing chalk land it provided more areas for habitats to be created for the surrounding species.
