New Surrey Hills Artisan Trail – Launching October 18th

5th October 2020

A self-guided trail showcasing the best of Surrey Hills food, drink and crafts artisans.

Surrey Hills is home to an exceptional group of talented artisans who make a wide range of traditional as well as more modern and innovative arts, crafts, food and drink.

To celebrate the artisan heritage and culture of the Surrey Hills, we are delighted to announce that we will be launching a free self-guided Surrey Hills Artisan Trail on October 18th at Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking.

The Artisan trail will enable both visitors as well as residents, to explore the Surrey Hills and meet a wide range of Artisans, sample local food and drink, take part in artisan workshops and experience traditional artisan craft skills.

The Artisans on the Trail will all be Surrey Hills Trade Mark Artisans who will open their doors to welcome visitors. The artisans will offer a range of entertaining and fun experiences and will help visitors to understand more about the culture and heritage of arts, crafts, food and drink in the Surrey Hills.

The Surrey Hills Artisan trail will be a self-guided trail accessed via the surreyhills.org website. It will include

  • information on each Artisan,
  • their story,
  • a little about their products,
  • details on tours, tastings, workshops, events, and demonstrations
  • information on their opening times, location and accessibility
  • Other surrey hills activites and experiences close by

Visitors are free to create their own itineraries by booking their visits directly with the artisans.

We believe that the Surrey Hills Artisan Trail will encourage a wider audience to explore the Surrey Hills, to get to know and support local artisans and to encourage them to purchase local produce
