The Deepdene Trail is a walking trail, just a 15 minute stroll from Dorking’s town centre and railway stations. Once the home of one of the nations most enigmatic characters, Thomas Hope, this historical landscape was thought lost after Deepdene House was destroyed and the Estate was broken up in the 20th Century.

Discover Thomas Hope’s restored Mausoleum, historic paths through woodland to hidden Bronze Age Barrows and dramatic castle ruins and the revived Deepdene Gardens at the heart of the Estate.

The trail allows you to uncover the amazing landscape full of history, nature and hidden treasures and it’s free of charge.

The whole site is brought alive through informative boards and a bespoke Deepdene Trail app.
