Volunteer tools Surrey Countryside Partnership

The Surrey Countryside Partnership team successfully applied for £5,722 through FiPL to purchase a range of battery-powered tools for use by volunteers across sites in the Surrey Hills. These tools are far lighter and quieter than traditional petrol-powered equipment, making them much more appealing and accessible to volunteers. They also offer a more environmentally friendly alternative by eliminating harmful emissions. In addition, access to this equipment—and the opportunity to receive training—provides volunteers with the chance to take on greater responsibility and develop practical skills that may support future careers in countryside management.
