Volunteer tools Surrey Countryside Partnership

The Surrey Countryside Partnership team successfully applied for ยฃ5,722 through FiPL to purchase a range of battery-powered tools for use by volunteers across sites in the Surrey Hills. These tools are far lighter and quieter than traditional petrol-powered equipment, making them much more appealing and accessible to volunteers. They also offer a more environmentally friendly alternative by eliminating harmful emissions. In addition, access to this equipmentโ€”and the opportunity to receive trainingโ€”provides volunteers with the chance to take on greater responsibility and develop practical skills that may support future careers in countryside management.
