Big Wild Walk – 7km Elstead & Thursley Commons Circular Walk for SWT

This autumn join Simone and Ross for this year’s #BigWildWalk challenge, in partnership with Surrey Wildlife Trust
We’re excited to invite you to a guided walk at the beautiful Elstead Common reserve on Friday 25th October.
Discover the lowland heath and woodlands as we explore the diverse wildlife that calls the reserve home. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, learn something new, and connect with fellow nature lovers.
We will also walk via Thursley Common.
Tickets are £15pp, and all proceeds will be donated to SWT helping to continue their vital work in protecting and supporting local wildlife.
Every £1 we’ll raise will preserve nature, as part of The Wildlife Trusts’ mission to protect 30% of land and sea by 2030.
Your Guide Simone Dill is a local hiking guide and North Downs Way Ambassador, passionate about the Surrey countryside, its history of people and places, and the importance of changes and protection in today’s times.
Ross, is a Surrey Wildlife Trust Engagement and Conservation Officer for the Wilder Schools project, encouraging local educators to improve biodiversity in their grounds and take more of their lessons outside. Ross is also a qualified Lowland Walking Leader and very passionat and knowledgeable about local wildlife and nature.
Back on Track is a active Small Business Supporter for the Surrey Wildlife Trust helping to support Surrey’s wildlife through fun and informative collaboration hikes and events.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate, Duration: 2-2.5h
Bring: Suitable and comfortable clothing, snacks/drink
Facilities: Available at The Pavillion Cafe, 6min walk from meeting point, Cafe is open to 2.30pm on Fridays.
