Join Lorraine and team from Hedges & Hurdles Country Skills & Crafts for a festive Christmas Workshop utilising natural materials. Bring some rustic charm to your garden and home in time for Christmas.
All materials used are sustainable, sourced locally or obtained through coppicing as part of a woodland and garden management programme. You will learn from Lorraine how Willow and Hazel is grown in the UK and it’s different uses.
Willow Angel
10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Working with Willow is a mindful and relaxing activity. In this workshop you will learn how to weave an Angel using a wooden, table top jig. There are different styles of Angels for you to create, Lorraine will guide you through the different techniques to weave, bind and sew the Willow to create a lovely Angel for you to display at home.
Natural Christmas Wreath
1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
You will have a wide selection of natural materials fresh and dried (including hops) to choose from to decorate your wreath base once made and will be shown different techniques to achieve your very own unique design.
Tea, Coffee and mince pies are included in your workshop. Mulled Wine and Mulled Cider can be purchased on the day and lunch can be booked directly via the Hogs Back Brewery website.
