Join Lorraine for a festive Christmas Workshop at her outdoor studio in the Surrey Hills situated in the woodlands on the Birtley Estate in Bramley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Bring some rustic charm to your garden and home in time for Christmas.
You can choose to spend the day Willow weaving or choose either a morning or afternoon workshop:
Willow Angel
10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Working with Willow is a mindful and relaxing activity. In this workshop you will learn how to weave an Angel using a wooden, table top jig. There are different styles of Angels for you to create, Lorraine will guide you through the different techniques to weave, bind and sew the Willow to create a lovely Angel for you to display at home.
Willow Heart
1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Create a beautiful Willow Heart from Willow. Learn how to create a 3D armature you can then weave onto in order to create an effective decoration for your home or garden. Add some dried flowers to your heart to make it a bit more special. This makes for a lovely gift for Christmas!
