New writing and performance on a guided circular walk at Denbies
Wednesday 23 October, 5pm–6.30pm
Experience the Radius artwork at Denbies Wine Estate
Join us for this exciting showcase of multidisciplinary work from academics and students at Royal Holloway Poetics Research Centre in collaboration with Surrey Hills Arts. You will experience site-specific art writing at the stunning hillside location at Denbies vineyard alongside the ‘Radius’ artwork.
We will be joined by Rosie May Jones, Artist in Residence at Leith Hill Place to perform a culmination of her residency. Her place-responsive performance is an outcome into her inquiry: ‘How do we shape our identities through our relationship to the land?’
Early booking is recommended for this event as space is limited.
We will meet at the main entrance to Denbies. At 5pm, we will guide the group on a circular walk up to the North Downs Way, along to the Radius artwork and back through the vines.
Please be aware this event is outside reached by a steep slope. Please wear suitable clothing and walking boots or wellies.
Contact us in advance if you are a wheelchair user or have mobility issues so we can assist with access.
Part of the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival.
