Join me on a 6-7 mile circular nature exploration walk, starting in Gomshall (1-2 min walk from Gomshall Station), onto the north Downs Way, continuing into the quintessential English village of Shere. With a small group size, there will be lots of chances for questions on foraging, herbal medicine, natural navigation, and more.

During this walk, Lisa will point out plants, fungi and trees that can be foraged this time of year, introduce natural navigation using clues in nature, and using our senses to connect with nature.

We will take one or two rest stops for snacks and tea (made with foraged ingredients) and practice forest bathing mindfulness during these breaks.

We finish back in Gomshall and have the option to stay on for lunch at the Gomshall Mill (1-2 min walk back to Gomshall Station). You will have the option to park here to start if staying for lunch.

You will go home with a HINOKI gift of a set of specially blended herbal teas for the season and a pocket size first aid balm made with foraged herbs.

FORAGING You will be amazed with how many edible and medicinal plants and trees are around us. The knowledge you will gain from Lisa’s decade of foraging experience will be sure to surprise you.

FOREST BATHING Connect further with nature by using your senses to appreciate the beauty and lessons in life that nature provides for us. With Lisa’s Japanese and Hawaiian heritage, where nature is revered, learn and experience the beauty and power of nature for our wellbeing.

NATURAL NAVIGATION Nature provides many clues, communicating to you a compass for direction and so much more than just her sheer beauty.

SHERE If you haven’t visited Shere, then you are in for a delightful experience of a village with charm and beauty. This village is often visited for its unique shops, including tea rooms, cafes and ice cream shops as well as the summer open gardens, showcasing beautiful and quaint cottage gardens. It is also the film location of ‘The Holiday’ with Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Kate Winslet.

GOMSHALL We continue on to Gomshall, where we started, and have the option to lunch at Gomshall Mill.
