12.5km Denbies, Norbury Park and River Mole circular walk

A new 7.5 mile varied circular walk starting and finishing at Denbies Wine Estate taking in Norbury Park and the River Mole valley.

We will set off through one of Britain’s premier vineyards established on one of the the stunning Surrey chalk hills before heading up onto Norbury Park – where we will walk through historic parkland which is a mixture of wood, farm and grassland before stopping for a coffee and cake at Bocketts Farm. We then return following the scenic River Mole upstream through a wide flat valley before returning through the charming village of Westhumble back to the Denbies for the opportunity to explore the estate or grab a late lunch.

As well as learning about the natural history of the area, you will also hear stories around changing land use, ancient rituals, famous authors, medical pioneers and a connection with D-Day.

This hike is guided by Martin, our new Back on Track Guide. Martin and I did the North Downs Way Ambassador training together and is as passionate about the outdoors as I am.
He brings a lot of knowledge about local places and history to our walks, and I am so excited that he is joining Back on Track Hikes on a regular basis.

Difficulty – Moderate with a few short climbs.
Duration – 4 hours including coffee stop
