What to expect:
Following our online training session with Dr Frazer Coomber we are organising a follow up practical session to try to find, identify and record harvest mice nests found at this beautiful nature reserve.
The session will be very informal and will involve searching two areas of the reserve for evidence of harvest mice.
We will give a brief introduction to the national harvest mouse survey and what we are trying to achieve before heading out into the reserve to look in long grass and reedbeds.
Where to meet:
Due to limited parking at the reserve, please park at the Trunley Heath Road Car Park. This can be found on the junction between Trunley Heath Road and Horsham Rd.

We will then run a car share/ferry system down the road to the reserve. We will also run this at the end of the session.
Please do not park at the reserve. Thank you for your understanding.
When to meet:
Please arrive at the car park from 12:45pm. We will aim to start the session at 1pm and end at 3pm.
What to bring:
Please dress appropriately for the weather (warm clothing and waterproofs if raining). Please also wear wellington boots or waterproof shoes as the ground will be extremely wet underfoot.
We will provide tea/coffee at the end of the session but please bring a reuseable cup or mug with you.
Children are welcome if supervised by a responsible adult but please be aware the vegetation is tall in places! No dogs please.
We look forward to seeing you there!
