We are looking for volunteers from the community to help us with important Hedgehog Surveys at Fox Corner Wildlife Area near Pirbright.
In line with the People’s Trust for Endangered Species recommended survey method, the Society is helping to monitor hedgehog footprint tunnels to collate important data about hedgehog presence in the local area.
On Wednesday 20th September from 11:15am – 13:15pm there will be a tunnel set up and training day for anybody who is interested in learning how to survey for hedgehogs using footprint tunnels.
From Thursday 21st September onwards, each morning, hedgehog tunnels will need to be checked for footprints until Monday 25th September. If you are interested in taking part in the surveys as well as the set up day then you can register your interest by clicking here.
