Host and Connect with Your Local Community: Training with Russ Carrington

This event is part of the SE Pasture & Profit Programme. To attend this event you MUST be signed up to the programme OR farm within the High Weald, Kent Downs or Surrey Hills protected landscape boundaries.

Join Russ Carrington in this small group training session (of up to 5 farmers) to increase your knowledge and skills to independently offer small farm tours to local farmers and communities. Learn alongside a group of likeminded farmers how to better extend understanding and support for new grazing and livestock management methods to other farmers and the public.

In the 3 hour workshop we will:

– Improve your presentation and public speaking skills to help convey the messages around how you farm, graze and manage livestock

– Get comfortable with giving talks or leading farm tours for other farmers, potential customers, and other interested people from your local community

– Find out how to get to know your target audience and how to regularly engage them

– Explore how to make an event or talk successful and generate calls to action, such as lending of support or buying your product

– Understand how to best organise and administrate farm tours and events to keep things simple and easy for you.
