Enjoy this peaceful linear walk along the first section of the North Downs Way with rural views and chances for exploration.
A relatively easy introduction to the National Trail with no major hills, it is a relatively long but easy route setting off from the hustle and bustle of Farnham and slips into the tranquillity of the Surrey countryside. Much of this section is flanked by stretches of arable land and livestock.

Its a fabulous walk with lots of highlights on-route. Being a North Downs Way Ambassador, Simone knows the best places to stop/refill/facilities and making little detours to get the most of the trail, as I am a North Downs Way Ambassador and very local.

We would be passing gorgeous horse fields and stables, a goats farm, Vineyards, red coloured blueberry fields, Watts Gallery & arts & crafts studios (cafe & Stop over), Art installations of the Surrey Hills arts trail, stunning hill views, Crossing River Wey and the smallest Bridge in Surrey and fantastic woodland and chalk land.

Along the way we will learn about the geography and history of the area and the North Downs Way – hopefully inspiring you to want to walk more of it.
We will finish at the Guildford rail station where people can catch a train back to Farnham or take their onward journey home.

Duration: Approx 5-5.5h including breaks

Farnham Railway Station, just off the A31 Farnham By-Pass what3words address.

Further event details and how to prepare for the walk:
Please ensure you bring water and snack for the walk.
Please wear sturdy shoes; bring waterproofs if necessary. The distance and duration of the walk depends on the group’s pace and weather conditions. We aim for a medium walking pace with several stops, unless advertised in the event description.
