Something exciting is happening in June.
Combining our love of nature and our love of art is the fourth Surrey Artist Open Studios event taking place at the picturesque setting of Birtley Woodland Art Space. Keep your clinical white gallery walls and your blank spaces, we much prefer to see art displayed in the beautiful open studio at the Birtley Estate, surrounded by nature.
Held over 2 weekends in June, visitors are welcome to come and view the work from amazing local artists including drawings, paintings, pyrography, printmaking, collage, photography, woodwork, ceramics, sculptures, hand made jewellery and, of course, willow craft.
You can also book on to some amazing workshops at the event, but please pre-book as spaces go fast!

On the 22nd June you can join us for a special Summer Solstice evening. After spending the day exploring the artwork and workshops, you can start to unwind with a free drink and snack. The evening will start with a summer yoga flow and meditation on the woodland yoga deck and then take walk, join in the optional activities, or simply relax around the fire pit as we welcome the summer and our solstice supper – a vegetarian feast provided by the woodland kitchen. There is an additional cost for the Summer Solstice evening and you will need to book in advance.
The Open Studios begins on 14th June and finishes on the 23rd June (Friday, Saturdays and Sundays only).
