Sunrise Hike

A sunrise meditation, mindful sensory walk and a Japanese influenced woodland tea ceremony
Full sun is forecasted! The sunrise on Holmbury Hill, with stunning views, greets us with warmth, energy beauty. At 857 ft above sea level, Holmbury Hill is Surrey’s fourth highest summit and is the site of an Iron Age Camp.
During HINOKI Sunrise Hike, we start with a meditation to help us set our circadian rhythm. Practicing a morning meditation is one of the best things you can do for yourself. This is a type of meditation and forest bathing that harnesses the power of the sun, trees, and nature waking up. Starting your morning with a calm, focused mind sets the tone for your entire day. We end the meditation with a Japanese inspired tea ceremony.
Following this, we embark on a 5-6 mile easy walk down to the edge of Leith Hill into Pasturewood, then back to Holmbury Hill. The initial walk to the top is an incline of about 100m. There is also an incline back to the car park after the hike.
We begin the session with a 7-10 minute hike up Holmbury Hill, then another incline on our return back to the car park after the hike.
