Join us for a celebration of spring at the Surrey Hills Spring Fair – a weekend bursting with exciting free activities, live entertainment, countryside traditions, and delicious food and drink. This is the perfect way to kick off the Easter holidays and enjoy the great outdoors with friends and family!

Remember to bring cash to support small, independent traders!

Country craft and traditional activities

  • Wheelwright Demonstrations – Watch traditional wheel-making in action at the Waggon Shed.
  • Corn Dollies – See intricate corn crafts being created.
  • Quilling & Ceramic Painting – Get creative at Frensham with hands-on crafting.
  • Smash the Crockery – Test your aim with this satisfying classic game.
  • Traditional Rural Games – Welly wanging, Aunt Sally & skittles at the Arboretum.
  • Scarecrow Building – Get hands-on and create a scarecrow in the Romany Caravan area.
  • Plant a Seed – Take home your very own springtime planting project.
  • Woodland Wonders – Enjoy crafts and nature activities in the forest school area.
  • Easter Trail – Follow the clues and complete the trail (pick up your sheet in the shop).

Rural Life Demonstrations

  • Sawmill & Bench Saw in Action – Experience the power of the Wood Yard’s working sawmill.
  • Wood Turning & Blacksmithing – Skilled artisans at work in Churt Building & The Forge.
  • Steam Traction Engines – Hop on for a nostalgic ride across the site!
  • Vintage Vehicles & Penny Farthings – Explore historic vehicles and learn from the Ripley Vintage Cycle Club.

Locally sourced Food & Drink

Enjoy an incredible selection of local food and drink, from artisan street food and gourmet treats to Surrey’s finest ciders, beers, and spirits.


Locally made arts, crafts and products

The Surrey Hills are home to an incredible community of unique and authentic artisans who keep both traditional as well as modern artisan skills alive.  They are not only passionate about their craft, but they are also excited to share their knowledge, skills and products with a wider audience.  Come and meet a wide variety of local artisans and browse their stalls to find those one-of-a-kind items, gifts, handmade crafts and other unique items.

Rural Life Living Museum

The Rural Life Living Museum is an open-air museum and visitor attraction which collects and preserves objects associated with farming and goods used by local craftsmen circa 1750-1960. Many aspects of village and rural life are displayed recalling a way of life once common to the local people.

The museum is distributed over ten acres of field, woodland and barns. The programme of events offers the perfect way to experience the museum as volunteers set about to bring the museum alive by educating and entertaining visitors with crafts, demonstrations and hands-on activities.


 

Surrey Hills Spring Fair – Booking Tickets

Tickets are valid for either Saturday or Sunday

Free Parking on site – There is plenty of free parking in the field adjacent to the museum

Friendly dogs welcome on leads.

Adult Ticket: £15.00 on the day or £12.50 in advance

OAP and Students: £12.50 on the day and £10 in advance

Children under 16: FREE

Accompanying Carers: FREE – there is no need to book a ticket – please just bring your carers ID

Ticket price includes entry to the Rural life Living Museum

Payment method: We accept payment by debit / credit card  however we do encourage you to bring cash to support the many small artisan stalls and activities

E-TICKETS:  An automatic email confirmation of your booking will be forwarded within a few minutes of making your booking. Please print and bring a copy with you or bring a copy of the receipt on your device.

If you do not receive your email confirmation please check your junk or clutter folders.
