BY TRAIN
Take the train to Guildford station where you can get a bus or taxi to Cranleigh showground BUS You can take Bus no 53 or 63 from Guildford to Cranleigh which takes approx 30 mins.
CYCLE
The Showground is on the Cranleigh to Ewhurst cycle route.
WALK
If you are local, how about walking? ...there’s pavement all the way along.
BY CAR
There is plenty of free parking at the site GU6 7DW. Please follow the directions given by the parking attendees. Disabled parking is located near the exhibitor entrance - please let a steward know if you need disabled parking.

When and where is the Surrey Hills Wood Fair 2025?
The Surrey Hills Wood Fair takes place on 13th & 14th September, at the Fish Pond Copse, in the Cranleigh showground. Gates open at 10am each day, close at 4pm

Accessibility
- Disabled car parking: Located by the stallholder entrance, you can park your car and then directly enter the event field. Please drive through the main event gate off of the main road and speak to a car parking attendant for directions.
- Surface: Most stalls are within the event field. This is a mostly flat, grassy open field. However, it can get muddy in wet conditions and can be susceptible to cracking in very dry weather. There are a small number of stalls within a woodland area, which is mostly flat but does have some tree roots.
- Toilets: Disabled toilets are available, more information – https://loos.co.uk/loos/accessible-facilities/
- Quiet zones: There will be a quiet zone within the woodland area, shared by our partners at Shooting Star.
- Off-road wheelchairs: We have a limited number of off-road wheelchairs available to hire for free. Please contact info@surreyhills.org by Thursday 11 September so we can check availability for hire and how we can support.
How much are tickets?
Advance tickets are £12.50 per adult until September 1st. They are then £15 online and on the gate.
Children under 16 go free
Concessions are available for students (with a valid uni card) and seniors over 60.
Friendly dogs on leads are welcome too!
What’s included in my ticket?
Your ticket gives you access to a whole day of activities – arena displays, kids’ action zone, artisan stalls, live music, woodland crafts, wellbeing sessions, talks and demonstrations.

What can I expect to see in the arena?
The central arena is packed with entertainment – from chainsaw carving and lasso skills, to dance and music, and countryside skills including shire horse log pulling and dog and duck show!

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome. Please clean up after them and be mindful around livestock and displays.
Water bowls will be provided
Is there something for children?
Absolutely! The Kids’ Action Zone has bushcraft, climbing walls, adventure activities, storytelling, and hands-on workshops designed to inspire young explorers.
Is there parking at the event?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking on site. Accessible parking is available close to the entrance – please let our team know on arrival.
Will there be food and drink to buy?
Yes – we have a fantastic range of local food and drink vendors including street food, artisan produce, craft beers, wine, and non-alcoholic options. Many of our producers carry the Trade Mark Surrey Hills, a mark of quality and sustainability.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes! Please feel free to bring a blanket and have a picnic with family and friends – there will of course, be a wide selection of local food and drink if you fancy something extra.
Is the event suitable for people with additional needs?
Yes – we work with organisations including Surrey Choices, Surrey Coalition and Freewheelers to ensure accessibility. There will also be a quiet space provided in partnership with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Where do the proceeds from the Wood Fair go?
All net proceeds are reinvested directly into supporting local organisations, groups and projects across the Surrey Hills. The fair also champions local businesses, charities, and community interest companies by providing training, marketing, and connections.

BOOKING/PURCHASING TERMS & CONDITIONS
- INTRODUCTION
- The Surrey Hills Artisan Events are organised and managed by Surrey Hills Enterprises CIC, a company registered in England and Wales with registration number 08114796 and registered office at The Great Barn, 7 Birtley Courtyard, Bramley, Surrey. GU5 0LA
- References to “us” means Surrey Hills Enterprises CIC and references to “we” and “our” shall be construed accordingly. Reference to “you” means the entity completing a booking request and references to “your” shall be construed accordingly.
- All advance ticket bookings to attend The Surrey Hills Artisan Events are made subject to these Terms & Conditions (which shall apply to the exclusion of any terms imposed by you).
- BOOKINGS
- All advance tickets for The Surrey Hills Artisan Events are subject to availability and full payment being made.
- Tickets issued in advance for The Surrey Hills Artisan Events are valid for named attendee only and cannot be transferred.
- Tickets issued in advance are valid for one day of the Artisan Events only.
- PRICES AND PAYMENT
- Our prices for attending The Surrey Hills Artisan Events are set out on our promotional literature and website. Prices may be subject to change from time to time.
- Payment is due upon booking.
- CHANGES TO THE SURREY HILLS ARTISAN EVENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
- It may be necessary for reasons beyond our reasonable control to alter the advertised content, timing and/or location of The Surrey Hills Artisan Events or the advertised attractions. We reserve the right to do this at any time. Where we alter the time and/or location of The Surrey Hills Artisan Events, we will provide you with notice of the same and will offer you the choice of either a credit for a future event of your choice (up to the value of sums paid by you in respect of The Surrey Hills Artisan Events) or the opportunity to attend The Surrey Hills Artisan Events as varied.
- No refunds will be given in respect of any cancellations or non-attendance.
- We shall not be liable to you for travel, accommodation or other costs and expenses incurred (included wasted costs and expenses) if we are required to cancel or relocate The Surrey Hills Artisan Events as a result of an event outside our control (including, without limitation, to acts of God, floods, lightning, storm, fire, explosion, war, military operations, acts of terrorism or threats of any such acts, any strike action, lock-outs or other industrial action and a pandemic, epidemic or other widespread illness).
- LIABILITY
- Subject to Clause 5.4, our aggregate liability to you, whether such liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind howsoever arising, out of in connection with any booking (or requested booking) made by you or otherwise in relation to a conference, shall be limited to the price paid by you in respect of your booking to attend the Artisan Events.
- Subject to Clause 5.4, we shall not be liable to you for (i) any loss of profit, loss of or damage to data, loss of anticipated savings or interest, loss of or damage to reputation or goodwill or; (ii) any indirect, special or consequential damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind.
- You agree to indemnify us, our staff and our affiliates and to hold us harmless to the fullest extent permitted by law, against all loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind arising from any act or omission by you during or otherwise in relation to a Artisan Events.
- Nothing in this these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude either party’s liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by that party’s negligence, or the negligence of that party’s employees, agents or subcontractors;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.
- GENERAL
- These Terms and Conditions (together with any documents referred to herein or required to be entered into pursuant to these Terms and Conditions) contain the entire agreement and understanding between us and supersede all prior agreements, understandings or arrangements (both oral and written) relating to the subject matter of these Terms and Conditions and any such document.
- These Terms and Conditions shall not create, nor shall they be construed as creating, any partnership or agency relationship between us.
- You accept that communication with us may be electronic. We may contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. You agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all such communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal or contractual requirement that such communication be made in writing.
- These Terms and Conditions and the rights and obligations of both parties shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales and both parties irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales in respect of any dispute which arises hereunder.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ADMITTANCE TO SURREY HILLS EVENTS
- All visitor tickets are non-refundable.
- Surrey Hills Enterprises and its officers reserve the right to refuse admittance.
- Demonstrators and unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and persons following this line of behaviour will be asked to leave the site without any refund. The Surrey Hills Events are all family days out.
- Visitors must take responsibility for their own health and safety. The event sites may have uneven ground and there are marquees with guy ropes – it is incumbent on the visitor to be aware of this when visiting the show and walking around and to take responsibility for their passage around the event.
- Visitors should keep a safe distance from the horse and wagon, and any other event vehicles which may be present within the event arena
- Visitors should keep a safe distance away from animals at all times, unless invited to come nearer and should also avoid walking immediately behind livestock and horses (when applicable).
- If visitors come into contact with livestock or livestock penning or handle livestock, it is important and good practice, they thoroughly wash their hands before handling or consuming food. This is especially important for young children, pregnant mothers, the elderly and any visitors with health problems.
- There are hand wash stations in the public lavatories and water taps
- The venue surface is grass which is generally well drained and suitable footwear is recommended, especially if the weather is inclement.
- Only those aged 18 years old and over may purchase alcohol at the event. It is not permissible for those over 18 years old to purchase drinks for minors.
- Neither Surrey Hills Enterprises nor any of its Directors, officers or servants will be responsible for anything that may happen to visitors, their servants or any other person, or their respective property or animals, or to any exhibit at the show, and it shall be considered a condition of entry that each exhibitor/visitor shall hold Surrey Hills Enterprises blameless and that he shall be considered to indemnify the society against any legal proceedings, claims or demands in respect thereof.
- Surrey Hills Enterprises welcomes dogs to the events, but all dogs should be kept under strict control on the showground.
- Surrey Hills Enterprises provides a provisional online program for events, however it should be noted that timings can be varied if necessary.
- Children under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- No glass is allowed to be brought into the event sites by members of the public. No sharp objects or missiles may be brought into the event by members of the public.
